I was warned by the ladies at the salon not to keep the girls' hair out until I'd gotten used to working with it, so I've been braiding it faithfully each week. I couldn't find any chunks of time to fit the braiding in this week, so I just left it out after I washed it. And it hasn't been that bad :) It's so beautiful when it's clean and curly and soft. Unfortunately, it does get matted down and needs to be combed again. Kalysta likes to put on a little drama and ask Tryana to hold her hand so that she can endure the combing out. Tryana, on the other hand, tells us that it doesn't hurt. Don't they look cute?

I LOVE IT! I am all for letting those curls fly. Everyone keeps trying to tell me to braid Tabitha's hair, but I insist on leaving it curly. We use a product called Curly Q's, you can find it on line. It works wonders. Tabitha's hair is soft and there is a daily cream to use and I don't even comb her hair I just use my fingers to bring that matted morning hair up.
ReplyDeleteI second Noelle, very cute! And thanks Noelle for writing the name of that hair stuff.

Just caught up with you guys' blog! I loved reading all the entries since we met you and love knowing how to specifically pray for you. The girls have changed so much and look so precious! Savanna's hair is still too short to do anything with (I consider that a blessing right now!). But will certainly draw on your experiences when the time comes! I can't wait to show Samuel and Savanna these photos as they look at our Africa photos daily and get excited when they see the girls' photos! Many blessings on your sweet family!
